This model is a great deal more versatile than one would expect. The fit system is brilliant. The outsole rubber is soft and tacky. Lug depth is basically adjustable. This is a technical terrain shoe that feels as comfortable and stable as many good pavement racers,
Though midsole foam itself is premium and a good choice for a technical shoe, I want to see Speedland produce this type of model with ATPU and or TPEE instead of beaded TPE to further improve energy return and impact protection.

Technical shoe for rugged trails and off trail travel
This is my go to shoe for more technical terrain with rocks, roots and tight spots. As a guy with size 14 shoes, that really matters! If you're into volcano circumnavs, off trail terrain or other techy trails, this is for you. The extra knobby tread has saved me many times on loose, steep terrain. Another unexpected benefit is that the velcro strap does an amazing job of keeping your gater in place. Huge fan.

Great Footwear
These shoes are awesome. Recommend buying the carbon fiber plate. Still adjusting how they tighten and fit, but I have 2 runs and a hike in with no issues (other than weak ankles) I will be buying those again as I love the sock fit and freedom is my foot.

Grindstone 100m tested!
Last I ran the Grindstone 100k lost 2 toenails and feet where a wreck.
This year I was determined to find the ideal shoe and went through multiples during training. Finally I decided to try these, in 107 miles I only developed 1 heel blister and toes never hurt! Highly recommend for technical trails!
